Ronald M. Butler holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Performance Improvement from Wayne State University. Ron’s background includes 26 years as a Detroit Fire Department officer. He has served as a consultant on numerous battery fire safety consulting and training contracts (Ford Motor Co., Volkswagen, University of Michigan, University of Texas, Audi, thyssenkrupp, Kitty Hawk, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and many more) and possesses 15+ years of training and organizational development experience. He serves as a member of the UL Battery Safety Council, SAE’s Battery Transportation Committee, NFPA’s Energy Storage and xEV Emergency Response Training design groups, and more.
Ron’s business focus is on increasing safety throughout entire Li Ion (and other) battery life cycles. The goal is to help organizations limit safety risk while increasing efficiency and meeting rules and guidance benchmarks. This includes, consulting, training, and the design and development of industry-unique battery transport and storage systems.
