ProfileIn the summer of 2013, Alexis Lin opened her compost tumbler to find a roiling mass of grubs. It was a shock. It was also the beginning of her interest in black soldier flies which ultimately led to Food Cycle, a food scrap micro hauler and black soldier fly farm in Queens, NY. Alexis brings to Food Cycle a broad background in software development, including 5 years at Microsoft during which she presented at tech conferences in major cities around the world. Alexis has a history of building products, leading teams, and making things happen. She can't wait to increase local processing of NYC food waste, and steadily ramp up on her mission of Table-to-Farm.
