ProfileJeff is the Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer at mobius pbc. Previously, he earned his Master’s in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee and his BS in Bioengineering from the University of Toledo. His graduate research focused on developing wastewater treatment systems that utilize microbes to convert organic materials directly into electricity, hydrogen gas, and other value-added products. During his undergrad, Jeff worked on several sustainability and bioremediation projects, including a design for a modified buffer strip to reduce agricultural nutrient runoff and mitigate the instances of algal blooms in Lake Erie. Jeff also co-founded the University of Toledo Student Green Fund, a non-profit fund within the UT system that was funded through student donations, run by student volunteers, and issued grants to improve the sustainability of the UT campus to student teams, with current co-founder Tony.
