ProfileJennifer brings a wide range of waste management and sustainability experience to her current role as Sourcing Manager at Brighter Bites, where she directs and manages the organization’s supply chain which channels eight million pounds of primarily recovered produce to almost 30,000 low-income families in six cities. From industrial and hazardous waste to food waste, Jennifer has a demonstrated history of reducing waste to landfill and associated costs, even creating new revenue streams from waste that was previously landfilled. She has spent the last several years learning the produce industry and working to create more sustainable fresh supply chains through local procurement, logistics optimization, and reduction of operational waste. Jennifer is highly skilled at communicating the business case for sustainability and inspiring passion among a wide range of stakeholder groups with different priorities and interests. She is driven by the mission of reducing supply chain waste, especially food waste, in order to create a more equitable food system.
