Debra Kantner is an experienced solid waste researcher and project manager for both public sector and private sector clients. Her experience spans a range of solid waste and recycling topics including assessing waste generation and recycling rates, developing long-term zero waste and solid waste management plans, evaluating recycling policy and goalsetting, examining life-cycle assessment of solid waste management options. Prior to joining Burns & McDonnell in 2020, she was the Data & Policy Director at the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) and served as the co-lead of US EPA’s Recycling Measurement Workgroup for the development of a consistent national approach to recycling measurement and SMM goalsetting.
