Profile
Scott Breen is the Vice President of Sustainability at the Can Manufacturers Institute, which represents U.S. can manufacturers and suppliers. His responsibilities include promoting food and beverage cans as the leading sustainable/circular packaging, making sure federal and state policy support an efficient recycling system and recognize the can’s sustainability advantages, and leading the industry’s efforts to increase the recycling rate of cans. Prior to his role at CMI, Scott was the Associate Manager of the Sustainability and Circular Economy Program at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and he was an Attorney-Advisor at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Outside of work, Scott is the Creator and Co-Host of the podcast Sustainability Defined, which reaches thousands of listeners from all 50 states and more than 80 countries as it defines sustainability one concept (and one bad joke) at a time.Sessions
