2021 marks Nic’s 7th year as the Resource Recovery and Recycling Manager with the Kent County Department of Public Works. He oversees all inbound trucks, outload loads, brokering of materials, facility operation and staffing. Over the past 7 years Nic has led Kent County in adapting their process line staff from a Goodwill Transitional Work based staffing model to a new program in partnership with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department work release program. This new model proved to be very successful and eliminated many of the challenges faced with past staffing models. With the impacts of Covid 19 affecting nearly every aspect of our lives, this new process line staffing model with the Sheriff’s Department was no different. Nic is pleased to share that out of all these challenges has come some very promising, exciting, new staffing opportunities.
