Working in the solid waste industry for over 30 years, Frank began his career collecting garbage in 55-gallon drums for Waste Management in Berwyn, Illinois. Earning a degree in public relations from Purdue University, Frank accepted a position at Groot Industries, and for the next few years, worked in the sales department and gained valuable experience. An opening in municipal affairs and negotiating contracts provided Frank with the opportunity to further put his degree to work, and for 24 years he managed Groot’s municipal agreements in Chicago’s western and northern suburbs. Frank accepted the municipal affairs position in 2018 for Homewood Disposal Services, managing municipalities in the south suburbs of Chicago. Frank has chaired NWRA’s Illinois Chapter Legislative committee and held several other leadership positions within the chapter, including currently serving as chair of the Golf Committee. Throughout his tenure, Frank has enjoyed the challenges of managing over 100 different municipal and large commercial/industrial contracts. Establishing and maintaining relationships with multiple municipalities has proven to be the most beneficial and gratifying aspect of municipal affairs management.Sessions
