Profile

Kirk Steed is the General Manager for Recology Hay Road and Recology Ostrom Road. In this role he is responsible for overseeing all operations at these two locations, including the Jepson Prairie Organics and Recology Ostrom Organics composting facilities.

Kirk has 18 years of experience in the solid waste industry. After joining Recology in 2008 he spent 15 years in the engineering and project management group with a focus on design, development and improvement of post-collection facilities. Kirk has extensive experience with compost facility design, development and improvement at facilities throughout California and Oregon.
