Profile

Cathy has been the Pitkin County Solid Waste Director since 2013. She has worked in the solid waste industry for nearly 27 years. She has been appointed by Colorado Governor Jared Polis to the State’s Solid and Hazardous Waste Commission. She currently is the President of the Colorado SWANA chapter. She has a BS in Geology from Ohio State University and a MBA from the University of Maryland. She is a SWANA certified Manager of Landfill Operations and Manager of Compost Programs. She is also a Board Certified Environmental Scientist in Solid Waste Management from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
