Marissa Segundo is a Communications Consultant with more than 15 years of experience in successful strategic planning, media relations, and team leadership. As a bilingual communicator, Marissa is proud to be a proactive bridge-builder to the Hispanic community. She has provided clients in the public and private sectors, as well as product stewardship initiatives with innovative communications plans centered on sustainability, waste reduction, and recycling. Marissa utilizes a variety of digital and traditional outreach methods and stresses the importance of understanding your impact through measurement of effort. Prior to RRS, Marissa was the recycling coordinator for the city of Largo, Florida where she regularly appeared on both English and Spanish television to promote recycling and waste reduction in Largo and the Tampa Bay area. Her recycling communications strategies have earned multiple awards at the local, state, national, and international levels. Marissa is accredited in public relations and LEED and is a certified recycling systems manager; she was named a Waste360 40 Under 40 recipient in 2020.
