Bill Rumpke Jr. became President & CEO of Cincinnati-based, Rumpke Waste & Recycling in 2014. Born with a passion for waste and recycling, Bill has dedicated his career to expanding the company his grandfather founded in 1932. Early in his tenure, Bill developed Rumpke’s Central Ohio hauling districts before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2002. Under Bill’s direction, Rumpke has experienced unprecedented growth in market share and size completing over 100 acquisitions and expanding Rumpke’s service area into 4 states while serving millions of customers with14 landfills and 12 recycling centers including Rumpke’s unique glass processing facility. With Bill leading the way, Rumpke has garnered much recognition for recycling advancements, landfill management, business ethics, communication and leadership. Consequently, in 2020, Deloitte Private & The Wall Street Journal named Rumpke U.S. Best Managed Company. Bill earned his B.S. in General Business from Miami University (Ohio) and serves on the Board of the National Waste & Recycling Association.
