KEITH® WALKING FLOOR® self-unloading systems bring trailer unloading options to where tippers and dump trailers can’t: In buildings and tunnels, under utility lines, and on uneven or unstable ground. Designed to handle nearly any bulk material, including solid waste, scrap, wood chips and aggregate systems provide haulers with versatile backhauling options. Facility-based installations for MRFs and transfer stations are available to integrate material receiving, storage and conveying needs.
A trailer outfitted with a WALKING FLOOR® unloader provides flexible unloading options at nearly any location, including on uneven ground and in height restrictive areas. Trailers can be top loaded, baler loaded or compactor loaded for maximum convenience. No tipping is needed to unload. To meet the needs of operators, KEITH® has developed a variety of flooring options to accommodate virtually any material. Floor slats are available for heavy duty applications and abrasive applications. Specialty slats include the V-FLOOR® design and stainless steel flooring for abrasive, non-impact unloading.
WALKING FLOOR® technology is a horizontal loading and unloading system. Systems can unload a full-sized trailer in minutes. While in motion, the floor slats remain horizontal, reciprocating sequentially and then in unison to convey the load. Because the trailer unloads horizontally, there are no height restrictions outside the height of the trailer. Trailers can even be unloaded inside buildings. A WALKING FLOOR® system eliminates the dangerous issues associated with trailer roll-overs or overhead hazards, such as power lines.
