With over 20 years of experience in project development and process improvement, Dan has spent the last 7 years focused on the transformation of organic waste into valuable bioproducts. The result of this effort was the founding on SoMax BioEnergy and the creation of the Carbon Reduction Platform. In 2019, SoMax BioEnergy was awarded the design build contract for the first commercial Hydrothermal Carbonization plant in North America. In 2020, SoMax was a finalist for the Manure Challenge and also a Phase 1 winner for the Department of Energy's Resource Recovery Prize.
