Description

When looking at a landfill, there’s more than meets the eye. There are many layers to a landfill, and many considerations that must be taken seriously in order for a landfill to operate effectively and efficiently. One consideration is leachate management and treatment, which is becoming one of the largest operating costs for landfill owners and operators. In this session, attendees will learn best practices for managing and treating leachate, cost-saving strategies, various techniques for handling leachate, information on EPA’s plan to regulate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in leachate, side effects of clogging and scaling, and more.
