Bill Camarillo, CEO of Agromin one of the largest organics recyclers in California and the United States, remains passionate after 24 years in the industry. As the CEO of Agromin he plays a key role in pioneering sustainability through organics conversion. All of Agromin’s over 200 eco-friendly organic soil products - which range across the retail, agriculture, landscape and energy sectors are the earth friendly result of over 5,000,000 tons of organic waste materials that have been converted since 1993.
Over the past several years, Agromin has received numerous awards in recognition of it sound business practices and its recycling and sustainability efforts.
In 2011, Mr. Camarillo was named by the Ventura County Leadership Academy the “Distinguished Business Leader of the Year.” In 2012, Pacific Coast Business Times’ Latino Business Awards – Agribusiness. In 2013, Mr. Camarillo received VCEDA’s highest honor the Carl Lowthorp’s Golden Eagle Award.
Mr. Camarillo’s attributes his business acumen, leadership and vision to his 10 years of experience in the U.S. Marine Corps and his formal education. While in the Marine Corps, Mr. Camarillo finished two Associates Degrees from College of the Desert in Palm Springs, California and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Redlands and a Master’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Redlands.
