McKenna Morrigan is the waste prevention and product stewardship policy advisor for the City of Seattle. She has been directly involved in the development of the EPR policy in Washington state, including the policy introduced as SB 5697 in the state legislature this year. Previously, McKenna was a senior associate at Cascadia Consulting Group, where she was the lead author of a study on plastic packaging waste problems and solutions for Washington State commissioned by the state legislature in 2019, as well as numerous other research and policy analysis efforts.
McKenna holds a master’s degree in environmental policy from the University of Washington Evans School and a B.A. from Brown University. She was a recipient of the Waste360 “40 under 40” award in 2018.
