In 1984, Larry Henk began his career in the waste industry at the age of 24. At 38, he became the Chief Operating Officer of Allied Waste Industries, earning the additional title of President just three years later. One of the youngest executives on the S&P 100 to carry the President title at the time. During the 1990’s, Allied was at the forefront of the waste consolidation era. Under Larry’s skillful leadership Allied successfully completed over 300 acquisitions, with Laidlaw, American Disposal and BFI being three of the largest. From humble beginnings in Danville, Illinois, Allied grew from revenues of 1 million to north of 5 billion by 2001. In 2003, Larry, served as President and COO of Capital Environmental Resources. Primarily in Canada, with revenue just over 300 million, Larry lead an aggressive push into the US adding 150 million in revenue. Over the last seventeen years, he has focused on building an independent network of companies in, and around, Arizona. Notably, in 2013, Larry and his partners, permitted a new 600-acre, 90-million ton, MSW landfill in the Tucson metropolitan area. In 2018 Larry was inducted into the NWRA Hall of Fame.Sessions
