Josh began his career in the Waste industry in 1987. He spent summers throughout High School and College working on the back of a garbage truck for Waste Management. In 1993, he started full-time as a sales professional for Waste Management in Columbus, OH later transfer to Chicago in a management role. After a successful experience at Waste Management, Josh saw the opportunity to start his own Company and provide a level of customer experience that was missing in the Chicago market due to the many acquisitions of the late 1990’s. In 2001, he started Lakeshore Waste Services which later became Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) after merging with RSI in 2012. LRS is now one of the largest privately held waste companies in the country generating approximately $300 million in revenue annually with 1,200 team members, 26 facilities, including landfill assets in Quad Cities market of Iowa and Illinois.
Josh serves on many industry and civic boards, including the Illinois Food Scrap Coalition (IFSC) and plays an active role in local and State environmental issues.
Josh graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. In addition to spending quality time with his wife and three kids, Josh is an avid follower of Kansas Jayhawk basketball.
