Amy Thomaides has worked as the Community Enhancement Initiatives Manager for the City of San Marcos since 2013, during which she has implemented multiple programs to promote landfill diversion, from event eco-stations to residential curbside green waste service. As the program manager for Keep San Marcos Beautiful, Amy has partnered with the Habitat Conservation Plan to provide year-round opportunities for organizations to pick up litter and protect San Marcos’ aquatic life and created demonstration pollinator and native prairie gardens. Amy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography- Urban and Regional Planning, Masters in Sustainability Studies, and completed the Certified Public Manager program from Texas State University. She is on the board of STAR and a member of the STAR Central Texas Council.Sessions
