With an increased focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG), environmental justice and climate-related disclosures, the waste and recycling industry is a natural place for the three to intersect. In this panel discussion, speakers will share key developments in permitting and enforcement decisions based on climate-related and environmental justice priorities, how the Securities and Exchange Commission’s proposed (and potentially final) rules on climate-related disclosures are being implemented and the possible implications and messaging opportunities and risks in the ESG arena.
