In recent years, environmental justice (EJ) has become a major talking point in the waste and recycling industry. There are differing views about how EJ efforts and goals will be implemented and achieved within our industry and beyond. Picking up where we left off in the discussion from WasteExpo 2022, speakers will discuss legislation and regulations related to EJ, how the industry is working to provide environmentally safe and effective services while supporting the communities we serve, what strides the industry has made thus far and what steps we need to take to ensure successful, positive outcomes in the future.
