Stephanie Katsaros is the Founder and President of Bright Beat, a Chicago-based consultancy advancing environmental stewardship and social change through the development and activation of impact-driven, award-winning programs with an array of venues, events, businesses, institutions, non-profits, and municipalities. Energizing partners to reimagine a more resilient food system fuels Bright Beat’s intersectional work in community x culture x wellness x waste x soil.
Stephanie’s dedication to improving food recovery and organics recycling infrastructure, access and education is demonstrated in her years of leadership in Illinois Food Scrap Coalition and Wasted Food Action Alliance, among other Advisory Board roles (Plant Chicago, iHeart Media). For over 10 years, Stephanie has led the Chicago Sustainability Task Force (CSTF): a group of leaders and stakeholders from the city’s largest facilities and institutions, collaborating to improve operational sustainability while leveraging their collective voices to strengthen infrastructure and drive climate action in Chicago.
