Joe Kilsheimer serves as Executive Director of the Florida Waste-to-Energy Coalition, a statewide group of municipal governments that employ WTE facilities to manage solid waste disposal. He also owns and operates Kilsheimer & Associates, a consulting practice that advises clients in the municipal infrastructure industry. From 2014 to 2018, Kilsheimer served as the elected mayor of Apopka, a city of 57,000 residents northwest of Orlando. Kilsheimer also is a former journalist with more than 20 years of experience at The Orlando Sentinel.
