Franziska Trautmann is the Co-Founder and CEO of Glass Half Full. Born and raised in Louisiana, she grew up hearing about our coastal erosion crisis and experienced our lack of recycling options. Once in college, she quickly realized that we needed to do something about these two profound problems facing our state. She and her co-founder, Max, started Glass Half Full in 2020 to recycle glass into sand for coastal restoration. Now, three years later, Glass Half Full recycles over 150,000 pounds of glass per month and uses it for coastal restoration, disaster relief, landscaping, and more.
