Ed Hood is a waste professional working for GFL Environmental as an Area Landfill Director. He has worked with the operation and engineering of waste management facilities across the United States, the Caribbean and Australia. Ed has shared his leadership and solid waste experience throughout his career helping develop engineering and operations teams focused on safety, best practice, and integrity. Part of Ed’s success has been supporting waste management facilities become long term community members. Odor mitigation is top of the list when a facility wants to be a good neighbor. Ed lives in Georgia with his wife and 2 daughters. He is a University of Georgia graduate who enjoys being a ‘Dawg and Braves fan, playing ice hockey, and traveling with his family and dogs.
