Martin Mattsson is the Director of Key Accounts and responsible for the Waste & Recycling segment at Volvo Construction Equipment NA. He has over 15 years of experience within the heavy equipment industry working in various roles for Volvo Construction Equipment NA. Prior to taking over the Waste & Recycling segment in 2014 and joining the Key Accounts team at Volvo he held roles as District Business Manager and District Product Manager; covering primarily the southeastern United States and was the interface between Volvo and its dealer network. Prior to these roles he worked as Product Specialist and Sales Engineer conduction sales training and application support for dealers & end customers on Wheel Loaders, Articulated Haulers and Excavators throughout the US and Canada.
Martin has been involved in the development of Volvo’s purpose-built machines for the Waste & Recycling industry and continues to enhance the portfolio for Transfer Station, MRF and Landfill applications.
A dual Swedish & US citizen; born and raised in Sweden he moved to the US in 2002 after graduating from college in Sweden. Martin is active in the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) and serves on its Supplier Board of Governors as well as the FILA Board. He is also a supporter of the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) as serves on the Auction Committee and a sponsor of its annual live & silent auctions.
Martin resides in Arden, NC with his wife and two daughters.
