Jerry Hendrix has been with the City of Kyle since September 2006, when we was hired as the city's first Director of Communications. Since that time, he has served as Acting Assistant City Manager, Director of Community Development, Chief of Staff, and Assistant City Manager. Jerry was appointed as Acting City Manager in June of 2022 and then to Interim City Manager in September 2022.

Prior to joining the City of Kyle, Jerry worked for the City of Austin for 13 years and was the Public Information and Marketing Manager for Austin's Solid Waste Service department.
