With years of experience working in the public and private sectors, Kikei Wong aims to make a positive impact through community relations, operational best practices, and sustainability education. Her focus is to center equity, diversity, and inclusion in the waste industry, making zero waste programs more accessible and ensuring that all voices are heard at every step of the way. As the Sustainability Specialist for Athens Services, Kikei helps design comprehensive waste and outreach programs that advance Athens’ environmental goals and the communities they service.
Prior to joining Athens Services, she was the Zero Waste Manager at UCLA where her work in implementing waste reduction programs and building professional development opportunities was recognized by the National Recycling Coalition with the Outstanding Higher Education Program award. In her free time, you’ll find her tending to her native plants garden.
