Anita is a Vice President for the Sustainability, Energy, and Climate Change group at WSP USA, bringing over 15 years of experience in sustainable business strategies to accelerate the achievement of net zero goals. As the domain lead for Circularity services at WSP USA, Anita leads a team supporting Fortune 500 clients, non-government organizations, and the public sector in embedding a just and equitable transition to a circular economy.
At WSP, Anita partners with clients on waste mitigation, packaging redesign, and logistics improvements to advance material efficiency and carbon avoidance. She also lends her expertise to non-government organizations transitioning to durable and reusable packaging in the consumer goods industry. This work extends to standards development for packaging reuse, which builds on her decade plus at Waste Management Inc, where she led innovative business development solutions for solid waste, recycling, reverse logistics, and bio-based materials.
Prior to Waste Management, Anita developed LEED-certified retail complexes, consulted on green building solutions, and created energy management strategies for commercial properties.
Anita is currently on the advisory board for Underwriter Laboratories’ Circular Economy Standard and has also served on the Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council: Sustainability and Efficiency Task Force. She is a LEED AP, TRUE Zero Waste Advisor, LEAN Six Sigma professional, and has a B.A in International Business from DePaul University.
