Jimmy has a national litigation practice at Beveridge & Diamond in solid waste, wastewater, biosolids, and chemicals. He has over 30 years experience trying court cases and arbitrations and arguing appeals in environmental law, including toxic tort defense, constitutional challenges to statutes and ordinances, enforcement defense, and civil and criminal litigation under all major environmental laws. Jimmy has tried many jury and bench trials and argued cases before numerous federal and state appellate and trial courts across the country, including the California, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia supreme courts.
Jimmy represents and advises waste and recycling companies, chemical companies, cities, farms, contractors, and trade associations. He graduated from Yale (B.A.) and Columbia (J.D.) and clerked for the Honorable James Sprouse of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Before joining Beveridge & Diamond, Jimmy was a trial lawyer with the Fairfax County, Virginia, Public Defender’s Office.
