Marc Shaener is a 35-year veteran of the waste and recycling industry. He started his career with Prins Recycling, overseeing its growth to a public company. Mr. Shaener went on to design, build, and operate over 20 materials recovery facilities and landfills throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. He has been at the forefront of technology throughout his career.

In 2021, Mr. Shaener brought his extensive experience to Jerome L. Taylor Trucking, in Washington, DC. Together, Mr. Shaener and JLT Trucking have implemented innovative technology and vertically integrated their waste collection operations with recycling and waste transfer facilities. JLT’s use of innovative technology has made it the fastest-growing waste collection company in the Mid-Atlantic region.
