Dave Bennett has been the Public Works Solid Waste Director for the City of Scottsdale since 2020. From 2017 to 2020, Dave served as the Manager for Solid Waste Operations. Mr. Bennett has more than 29 years of experience in the solid waste and recycling industry.

In 1994, Mr. Bennett began his career with City of Scottsdale on the brush and bulk crew and moved into various management positions throughout his career with the city. Mr. Bennett currently serves on the Accredited Standards Committee for the National Waste & Recycling Association. In 2020, Mr. Bennett served as the Safety Ambassador for the AZ Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America and currently serves as their Legislative Liaison.
