Joy Rifkin is a Sustainability Manager at LRS who is passionate about combating climate change and collaborating with communities. As a former Chicago Public School science teacher, Joy incorporates education and the environment into her daily work. Prior to joining LRS, Joy launched the nation’s largest Zero Waste Schools program with the NYC Department of Education, Office of Sustainability, diverting over 15,000 tons of materials in its first year. At LRS, Joy works with cultural institutions, community groups, non-profits, municipalities, and schools to educate and innovate around waste and sustainability.
