Julia Mangin is the Head of Sustainability at Recology, a 100 percent employee-owned integrated resource recovery company. In her role, Julia leads Recology’s sustainability initiatives, working with stakeholders across the company to manage environmental impacts, advance sustainability goals and targets, and further integrate sustainability into companywide strategy. Prior to her role as Head of Sustainability, she served as the Business Development Manager, overseeing M&A activities and evaluating innovation and strategic growth opportunities. With nearly 10 years of experience working in the resource recovery industry, Julia is an expert in the circular economy and has experience collaborating with stakeholders across the entire value chain. She leads Recology’s strategic partnerships, focusing on the intersection of sustainability and circularity to help advance the company’s vision of a world without waste. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.Sessions
