Travis Hout is the Fleet and Facilities Manager for the beautiful City of Venice on the Gulf Cost of Florida. He manages the fleet for the entire city including Solid Waste, Police, Fire, Utilities and Public Works. As a manager he brings with him over 30 years of transportation experience from starting as a driver to quickly transitioning into leadership. As a manager he has employed various strategies in safety, budgeting, analysis, and team building. In his career he has worked for a few large corporations and has spent the last 7 years in the government sector managing fleet and related subjects, along with facilities as well.
As a hard working family man, Travis also holds an Associate Degree, multiple diplomas and certificates, He also holds a national certification as a Certified Fleet Manager. His training includes leadership, business management, emergency services with FEMA, certified as a driver trainer including studies in DOT rules and regulations. He has attended and completed multiple leadership courses. Travis has also completed training in diesel technology and machine trades. He is also a member of multiple organizations including APWA, SWANA, NAFA, and FLAGFA. When not working for the residence of Venice, he finds time to spend with his faith and family doing outdoor activities or just watching a movie on the couch.
