Liz Laxague is currently a Senior International Trade Specialist in Seattle, Washington and the Global Environmental Technologies Team Leader. She has been with the U.S. Commercial Service for 10 years, serving the first 8 years in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. Prior to joining the U.S. Commercial Service, Liz was an Import Specialist with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Charleston, South Carolina and a Small Enterprise Development volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps in Mauritania, West Africa. Liz grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated with a degree in French from the University of North Carolina – Asheville. She now lives in a quaint sea-side village with her husband, 8-year-old daughter, cat and two dogs, and enjoys bragging about seeing the Olympic mountains from her home office and taking a ferry to work.
